Kia Ireland this week announced prices for the all-new Seltos, marking the introduction of the second generation of its globally successful SUV. Positioned in the highly competitive and fast-growing C-SUV segment, the Seltos strengthens Kia’s SUV line-up and supports the brand’s transition towards electrified mobility.
Available from €39,500, Seltos will be offered exclusively in HEV drivetrain with four trim levels including K2, K3, GT Line and GT Line Plus. First models arrive in Ireland this December, ahead of the 271-registration period. All Kia dealerships have received a display model this week, giving customers an opportunity to view the vehicle ahead of its December launch.
As Kia’s second best-selling model globally, the Seltos underlines the brand’s design leadership and its commitment to delivering refined practicality, modern technology, and advanced usability for customers seeking a practical SUV with a strong road presence. It is designed for customers looking for comfort, safety, advanced driver assistance technologies and places a strong emphasis on everyday usability and driving dynamics.
The Seltos combines urban agility with family-ready practicality. The spacious interior is complimented by best-in-class wheelbase, best in class boot space (536 litres), and intuitive convenience features to make daily driving effortless and enjoyable while supporting active lifestyles. One such feature is Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), a technology typically found in EVs, that comes to a Kia hybrid model for the first time, allowing external devices to be powered and charged directly from the vehicle.
Developed under Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the Seltos showcases the modern heritage of SUVs combined with forward-looking sophistication inspired by Kia’s EV design language. Its bold, rugged stance and clean, precise styling deliver a strong SUV presence. Seltos is 4,430 millimetres long, 1,830 millimetres wide and 1,600 millimetres high featuring a wheelbase of 2,690 millimetres.
Seltos will be offered exclusively in HEV drivetrain featuring a 1.6-litre GDI HEV powertrain delivering 154ps to the front wheels (FWD) featuring 261Nm torque, 0-100km in 10.4 seconds with a towing capacity of up to 910kgs.
Seltos is available in four trim levels including K2, K3, GT Line and GT Line Plus. The K2 model starts from €39,500 and comes with impressive standard equipment including 16” alloys, dual panoramic displays, smart cruise control, heated front seats and steering wheel, reversing camera and android auto/apple car play. The K3 adds 18” alloys, vegan leather seats, interior ambient lighting, privacy glass, wireless phone charging and more for €42,500. The GT-Line add interior and exterior GT-Line styling, 360-degree surround-view monitors, blind spot monitors, smart powered tailgate and remote park assist for €45,000 while the range topping GT-Line Plus gets a sunroof, drivers premium relaxation seat, a Harmon Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, driver head-up display and Vehicle-2-Load for €48,000.
Due to staggered drivetrain production of the Seltos, Kia dealerships have already been furnished with a 1.6 litre manual petrol display model, meaning the Seltos is now available to view in dealerships nationwide in advance of the HEV arrival in December.
