Last week An Taisce announced that it had added the old butter mill building in Ballyrafter, on the outskirts of Lismore, to its list of ‘Top 10 Most at Risk Buildings’.
The list includes buildings which An Taisce believes ‘are in such a state of disrepair that they may be dangerous or have no identifiable new use’.
The charity, which works to preserve and protect Ireland’s natural and built heritage, stated that it believed buildings which were categorised as ‘most at risk’ could be lost unless direct action is taken to preserve them.
