Students from Loreto Secondary School in Fermoy, Coláiste Fionnchua in Mitchelstown, Scoil Pól in Kifinane, Blackwater Community School in Lismore and both Glanmire Community College and Colaiste an Phiarsaigh in Glanmire are all competing in the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition this week, as are pupils from St Mary’s Secondary School, Mallow.
The scientifically-minded pupils will be taking part in the 60th iteration of the competition in the RDS in Dublin until Saturday this week, where 1,100 participants take part in total.
Heading up to set up their projects on Wednesday morning, they were greeted with an address from President Michael D Higgins later that afternoon.
