Mobility scooter users are unable to travel down footpaths in Mitchelstown due to rain water gullies, a councillor has said. 

Cllr Deirdre O’Brien said that rain water drains running across foothpaths, from building downpipes to the street, are causing problems for those using the motorised vehicles. 

“There are a number of users of mobility scooters in the town who find open drains difficult to manoeuvre,” her motion noted.
