Galbally thanks Dr Una for 24 years of community service

After some 24 years of service to the wider community, Dr Una Ní Rathaille was commended for her contribution to Galbally and surrounding area on Saturday last, following her recent retirement.

Officially retiring in late 2022, the community formally gathered last weekend to wish her well, as Galbally Community Council made a presentation to the former local GP.

24 YEARS – ‘A LONG TIME TO BE IN ONE SPOT’

Speaking with The Avondhu, Galbally Community Council chairperson, Charlie McCarthy said that Dr Una arrived in Galbally in 1999, with her GP practice serving the area consisting of Galbally, Ballylanders, Glenbrohane, Knocklong and wider community.
