Just over two weeks to go to Fermoy’s biggest entertainment events and the organising committee are hard at work putting the final touches to the programme.
From the Glenn of Immal in Co Wicklow, 21 year old Jack Keogh has, over the past year, become one of the country’s biggest singing sensations, drawing capacity crowds to venues all over the Ireland with his five-piece band.
But Jack is just one of the top entertainers heading to Fermoy. He will share the stage in Fitzgerald Park, the home grounds of Fermoy GAA, with Mike Denver & his band, Michael English and his band and in there to add a bit of glamour to the whole event is West Cork’s Effie Neill who, like Jack Keogh, is in huge demand all over the country since she came to prominence on TG4’s Ceol Tíre a few years ago.
Mike Denver needs little or no introduction as is the case with Michael English – both have been kings of the Country Music scene for quite a number of years now.
The event in Fermoy runs from 1pm until 7pm, so it’s time to dust off those high boots and stetsons and make the Blackwater town your destination on August 16 where you are promised and evening packed with top class entertainment and all that goes with that.
If you haven’t done so already, you are advised to book your tickets now (€30 on gr8events.ie).
