Fermoy Concert Band celebrated a 100 year old association with the town at a special function held in Fermoy Community Youth Centre last Saturday night.
It was a busy occasion that included a reception, an exhibition, book launch, concert and cake presentation. Cllr Deirdre O’Brien, who helped launch the publication ‘Fermoy Concert Band 1923 – 2023’, said great credit was due to all concerned.
“A huge amount of work has gone into this evening’s celebrations, it’s a really special occasion for everyone associated with the concert band and I’m delighted to be here,” she said.
