
Some estates in the Cobh Municipal District have been waiting almost 30 years to be taken-in-charge by the council.
Locally, estates in Watergrasshill, Knockraha and Carraig na bhFear, councillors have claimed, are waiting around 20 years to be taken-in-charge.
A motion tabled at Monday’s meeting of the Cobh Municipal District by Cllr Sinead Sheppard, shed light on the situation, as she called on the council to request information on bonds within estates in the municipal district that could be used to carry out much needed works within those estates.
