There is good news for the cultural quarter of north Cork as the reopening date for Doneraile Court has been confirmed as the 1st April next year.
The lower two floors of the 17th century building have been undergoing extensive restoration by the OPW, and now the state agency is pleased to announce that the extremely popular park has yet another amenity to offer visitors.
Recent figures show that the park alone welcomed almost half a million visitors in each year of 2019, 2020, and 2021, with figures barely dropping during the Covid lockdown years.
From April next year, the ground and first floor of the house itself will be reopened to the public …
