‘Disgust’ at Fermoy fly tipping

Fly-tipping was discovered at a property at Coolmakee in Fermoy earlier this week; there is a suspicion the dumping was done by a unregistered waste collector.

A man with connections in Fermoy has decried a recent incident of fly tipping at the property of his late mother at Coolmakee, near Glenabo Woods.

Michael Cahill, who maintains the property, came upon a large quantity of soft furnishings like carpets and cat beds dumped outside the house this week and said he was ‘disgusted’ with the sight.

Speaking with The Avondhu on Tuesday, Mr Cahill said he knew the dumping was recent as neighbours told him it was not there the previous day.
