Over Christmas and the New Year, communities throughout The Avondhu catchment have gone to elaborate lengths to treat their senior citizens.
On Sunday last, it was the turn of Ballyporeen to roll out the red carpet for its more mature parishioners.
The venue for this January party was the always busy community centre, which is capable of hosting a variety of events.
