Prominent sole trader and successful businessman, Dan Hartnett has retired after a quarter of a century serving the public.
Dan has decided to call it a day after almost 23 years overseeing Hartnett's Shop on the Clonmel Road, Mitchelstown. Prior to that he had 3 years in charge of The White Horse (now The Mulberry Tree). To mark the occasion, a farewell party took place in The Ramble Inn last Saturday night.
Extended members of the Hartnett clan were present along with staff, past and present, neighbours and friends. John Carey did a great job organising the party with talented outfit, Loose Connection providing the music. Food was served and the man of the moment was called upon to cut a specially prepared cake.
Dan said he was looking forward to retirement. A keen vintage car enthusiast, Dan is also a keen darts player who looks forward to throwing with friends on a Tuesday night in The Ramble Inn. Everyone who knows Dan hopes his retirement will be a long, contented and healthy one.
