HAMMER BACK IN FERMOY

Having Hammered Cork Bridge Club in 2012, the Hammer this year rests in Fermoy Bridge Club. The “Hammer” friendly Teams Tournament, between Cork Bridge Club and Fermoy Bridge Club, took place on Tuesday, 5th March with seven teams of four from each club.

The tournament is now running for over 25 years, it was initiated by Frank Sorenson who was a member of both bridge clubs - his idea was to run an annual social fun competition for teams where the losing club retains the Hammer.
