The finals of the annual Murphy-Sexton Tournament took place at the club grounds in Bridesbridge last Friday evening. In the cup final, the local side Abbey Tavern faced TJ Goodtymes, while in the shield final Valley Rangers faced Caherdrinna.
On a fine evening for football both games served up plenty of entertainment and goals with a good size crowd in attendance.
The shield final started proceedings with John Paul Grey in charge and very quickly this developed into an end to end attacking game with both sides intent on creating scoring opportunities. Caherdrinna got on top ….
