The countdown has begun for Together for Hospice, The National Hospice Movement’s Hospice Sunflower Days on-street collection which is taking place in cities, towns and villages across the country on Friday, 9th June and Saturday, 10th June.

Volunteers will once again be selling sunflower merchandise to raise vital funds for local hospices and homecare services throughout the country. There is also an opportunity to support your chosen hospice or homecare service online by making a donation and planting a virtual sunflower ‘in memory’ of a loved one in the virtual sunflower garden which is open until June 30th.

FUNDING STAYS LOCAL

Hospice and home care services rely on funding raised to help them to continue to provide their care and support to those living with life-limiting illnesses and their families. At the heart of palliative care is the aim to improve quality of life and to help patients at every stage of their illness.

Every euro raised locally, stays locally. Funding raised will be used in a number of different ways; from helping to upgrade hospice and homecare facilities to purchasing new equipment and funding local hospice services.

You can support your local hospice or homecare service by donating to the on-street volunteers on Friday 9th or Saturday, 10th June, or by dedicating a virtual sunflower in memory of a loved one today at www.togetherforhospice.ie/sunflowerdays
