5km is a manageable distance for must of us – as a result amateur runners were out in force for last Thursday evening’s Cool Runners 5K – an event hosted and organised by Colaiste an Chraobhin, Fermoy.
Once everyone was registered and kitted out in the regulation yellow jacket, participants assembled close to the old cinder track adjacent to the school.
Comprising beginners, intermediates and experienced athletes, everyone set off at a sensible pace before negotiating a town centre route.
