Continued water issues in Lismore

Uisce Éireann says it is progressing with ‘several strategically important plans’ to tackle water supply issues in Lismore.

Recently, the town has once again been faced with a spate of outages and poor supply, with the matter being raised at Monday’s meeting of the Dungarvan Lismore District by local councillors.

Locals in the town have been dealing with significant water supply issues for some years now, with matters becoming more and more exacerbated and frequent.

Protests have taken place and last week, a petition was circulated for signatures seeking the constant issues plaguing the town to be addressed.
