
Some 24 hours after opening an online fundraiser, over €16,000 had already been raised to help support local boy, Elliott McLoughlin in his fight against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The fundraiser, set up by Nina Rath, a friend of the family, saw over 170 people donate in that initial period, in a bid to support the local family and the Castlelyons NS pupil as he undergoes treatment and by around midday on Wednesday, the fundraiser stood just shy of €20,000.
In December 2024, 12-year-old Elliott was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has since been undergoing intensive treatment at Children’s Health Ireland, Crumlin and Cork University Hospital.
