Co-Op Superstores back in the saddle as title sponsors of National Hunt Raceday

Co-Op Superstores, the retail division of Dairygold is delighted to be back in the saddle for the fifth year to sponsor the National Hunt Raceday at Cork Racecourse, Mallow on Sunday, 16th October with the first race going to post at 13.55.

The Co-Op Superstores Raceday is a hugely popular race fixture that marks the launch of the exciting national hunt winter season and features top class thoroughbred racing along with many of Ireland’s leading jockeys and trainers. The day’s feature race will be the Co-Op Superstores Handicap Steeplechase (Grade B) with a prize fund of €45,000.

Andrew Hogan, General Manager at Cork Racecourse Mallow said: “We’re delighted to have Dairygold and Co-Op Superstores on board again this year as sponsors for what we see as one of the highlights of the 2022 Cork Racecourse fixtures list. Dairygold has supported us for many years and they’re now well associated with this national hunt winter season opener. Many of their customers are regular race goers and we are looking forward to welcoming them all to Cork Racecourse on 16th October.”

Following a thrilling days racing, there will be live music by The Joe Dolan Tribute Band, featuring Paschal Brennan, immediately after the last race. Tickets for racing and music are just €20, or €15 for a Student/OAP. Tickets can be purchased online in advance on www.corkracecourse.ie to beat the raceday queues and avail of a 10% discount.
