Anglesboro put on a fine show last Sunday by hosting their annual harvest fair.
At a time when these kinds of attractions are under pressure, it was heartening to see that volunteerism and community spirit is very much alive in rural Ireland.
No village or town is going to make a fortune from this scale of event, however, there's no doubting these occasions bring people together, generate goodwill and give locals a sense of pride.
