After a hectic week, the curtain came down on Araglin Carnival 2026 last Sunday evening. Overall, the week long festival was very entertaining, well supported and incident free.
Friday and Saturday night were particularly busy with organisers going for a country and western themed gig, ‘Boots & Bling’. Cowboys and cowgirls were out in force at an event that also featured line dancing, fiddle playing, bull riding and some hard drinking. Declan Roche oversaw the line dancing with the headline act being The Replacements, who were followed on stage by the biggest outlaw of them all, Waterford’s Mad Mike. Locals weren’t found wanting and a variety of high energy acts provided some wonderful entertainment.
