Gardai are hunting burglars who smashed their way into a well known Galbally shop in the early hours of Monday morning. 

The incident at Cummins’s Shop on the main street happened shortly after 4am and a sum of money was stolen.

Sources said it is believed that a group of travelling criminals are involved in the break in. 

A garda spokesman said that investigators were seeking help from the public for information in their efforts to catch the criminals. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
