SuperTroopers is a joint initiative between Riordan's SuperValu Fermoy and Laya Healthcare, aimed at providing nutritional information to national school pupils.
The first school from the region to take part in the project is Bishop Murphy Memorial National School, Fermoy.
Pupils, along with teachers Elizabeth Daly and Eileen Armstrong, visited Riordan's SuperValu recently where they received lots of nutritional advice from dietician, Donna Westley.
During the seminar, Donna explained about the significance of the food pyramid, the importance of a balanced diet and the critical role food plays in our wellbeing.
Pupils were also given some family friendly recipes endorsed by Riordan's SuperValu, Fermoy.
The boys form Bishop Murphy School who were attentive throughout, undertook to put what they had learned into practice.
