
Riding mainly high-powered machines and dressed in their customised leathers, members of Suirside Riders Motorcycle Club touched down in Araglin last weekend.
They were based in Araglin Community Field, which is home to both Araglin GAA and Araglin Pony Club. This was an ‘overnight job’ and having parked up, the first assignment for bikers was to select a suitable site and erect their tents. Bikes securely parked and tents secured, it was then off to nearby hostelry, The Swallow Inn, for refreshments. Those who were feeling peckish had the option of chips and burgers courtesy of Paddy Williams catering truck. Organisers booked their own band, which played before a capacity audience in ‘Christy’s Yard’ last Saturday night.
