Big welcome for Santa and friends in Castletown’

Santa’s arrival in Castletownroche caused quite a stir last Friday evening. Escorted by local Garda, Trevor Sheehan, the main man Santa, Mrs Claus and toy factory elves arrived by horse and carriage.

David Hogan, who was in charge of transport for the special occasion, said it was great to see the excitement on children’s faces. 

CASTLETOWN’ LIT UP FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON

Castletownroche is now beautifully lit up for the festive season. Credit for this goes to a group of volunteers, who are working year round to ensure the village is looking its best. Lights have also been put up close to the mill and bridge – as a result, passing motorists are left in no doubt that Castletownroche is primed for Christmas 2023.
