Caroline won’t be home for Christmas – St Stephen’s Day swim to raise funds

Hardy swimmers from Ballyduff Upper and Stradbally will take to the water off Clonea Strand this St Stephen’s Day to raise funds for The Gavin Glynn Foundation, in support of local teenager Caroline Kenny.

Caroline, daughter of Pat and Breda Kenny and a second-year student at Blackwater Community School, is currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumour in Essen, Germany.

Caroline’s parents outline their daughter’s story:

“In 2014, our daughter Caroline, then aged almost five years old, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in Waterford Regional Hospital.”
