Ballysaggart local Darren Meagher undertook the gruelling 4x4x48 Challenge recently in an effort to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.
The challenge, set out by American athlete David Goggins, sees participants run four miles every four hours for 48 hours.
“It was grand, it was a bit of a test mentally and physically, but the weather was on my side,” Darren told The Avondhu.
