
Local volunteers chose Pattern Day in Ballylanders to relaunch an organisation that works with those with special needs. The timing was perfect and a huge crowd attended last Friday’s event, that incorporated a very successful coffee morning in Ballylanders Day Care Centre.
Now formally known as Ballylanders Special Needs Association, the group hope to continue the good work started in the 1980s and ’90s. A new committee has been set up, under the direction of chairperson, Aine O’Sullivan. Aine was delighted with how things went last weekend.
“The coffee morning was very busy, there was a great buzz around the Pattern and everyone enjoyed themselves,” she said. Aine went on to thank everyone who attended (and donated), along with those who assisted with the catering.
