Fermoy Leisure Centre in association with Cork County Council are organising a series of drawing/colouring competitions to highlight issues associated with both water and road safety.
The first campaign winner is Eve Power, a fourth class pupil at Gaelscoil de hIde in Fermoy. Eve’s creativity, neatness and use of colour won over the adjudication panel – Eve, a regular user of Fermoy Leisure Centre, was presented with a goodie bag by Gayle Hickey and Caroline Casey (water & road safety development officer).
Caroline said there was an excellent response to the campaign which aims to raise awareness when it comes to road safety and best practice when using the country’s waterways.
