Christy Ahern, proprietor of The Swallow Inn, had the honour of hosting last Tuesday night’s table quiz – the first event of this year’s Araglin Carnival.
There was a big crowd, plenty of challenging questions and no shortage of banter. Veteran quiz master, John Browne Sr., was in charge and, as usual, did a very professional job.

The annual Carnival 45 Drive took place in Araglin Hall on Wednesday, 17th July.
BUSY WEEKEND AHEAD
The car treasure hunt goes ahead on Thursday, 18th July at 6.30pm – commencing in the community field. After an extended break, open sports, in association with Fanahan McSweeney Athletic Club, return to Araglin Community Field on this Friday evening (19th July). All welcome.
The late night entertainment is ‘Bingo Local with Mad Mike’. Admission €15, over 18s only.
