MG Motor Ireland is excited to confirm that the all-new MGS6 EV is on its way to the Irish market. Powered by a 77 kWh battery and available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, the MGS6 EV is a spacious, refined and generously equipped mid-size SUV that has already achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
Its arrival marks another significant step forward for the brand as we continue to bring customers the latest technologies and even more choice across the MG range.
The MGS6 EV will be offered in three distinct variants, underscoring MG’s focus on making cutting-edge technology accessible to all. The MGS6 EV Excite Long Range features a single motor with a total power output of 180kW and a WLTP combined range of 530KM*.
The MGS6 EV Exclusive Long Range offers the same 530KM capability, power and rear wheel drive configuration but with a higher level of specification and added comfort and technology features.
Completing the line-up is the all-wheel drive MGS6 EV Exclusive Dual Motor. Power output increases to 266kW, offering an enticing combination of grip and performance, and delivering a 0–100 km/h time of just 5.1 seconds. This performance-focused variant achieves an impressive WLTP combined range of 485KM*.
All three models can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 38 minutes using rapid public chargers. Five drive modes and five regeneration modes, including One-Pedal mode, also feature across all variants.
The all-new MGS6 EV is the third MG model to use the highly acclaimed Modular Scalable Platform, first offered on the MG4 EV, which delivers outstanding dynamic handling combined with an exceptionally spacious and comfortable cabin.
All variants feature a High Definition 10.25” Driver Display and 12.8” infotainment screen. The Exclusive models also boast a Head Up Display showing key vehicle and safety information as well as navigation guidance.
Also featured in the Exclusive models are heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof as well as an 11-speaker audio system. New, high quality seating options are also introduced with a choice of grey or beige leather-style seats with suede effect inserts.
MG Motor Ireland will announce Irish pricing closer to launch. The first showroom arrivals are expected in early Q1 2026, when order books will officially open.

INTERIOR & COMFORT
The interior of the all-new MGS6 EV combines advanced technology with a refined, spacious cabin designed for everyday comfort. Soft-touch materials, hidden air vents and a clean, modern layout create an uplifting ambience, further enhanced on Exclusive models by a fixed panoramic sunroof with electric blind.
A balanced mix of digital and physical controls ensures ease of use. Key functions such as climate and audio are managed through integrated dials and buttons on the central console, accompanied by a 12.8” high-definition touchscreen and a customisable 10.25” Driver Display with three themes.
Exclusive models feature an 11-speaker audio system, in-built apps including YouTube, Amazon Music, TikTok and Spotify, plus a 50W ventilated wireless charger. High-quality seating options include grey or beige leather-style upholstery with suede-effect inserts, while heated front seats are standard across all variants.
PRACTICALITY & SPACE
The MGS6 EV delivers impressive practicality with generous passenger and luggage space. Excellent leg and knee room ensure comfort for all occupants, while MG’s ultra-thin battery design maximises cabin usability. With over 30 clever storage solutions throughout the interior, it’s well suited to both daily family use and longer journeys.
A large 674-litre boot provides ample storage, extending to 1,910 litres with the rear seats folded. Additional flexibility comes from a front storage compartment (‘frunk’) with up to 124 litres of capacity, ideal for charging cables or everyday essentials.
The spacious cabin, combined with thoughtful interior design and MG’s compact battery structure, ensures that every area of the MGS6 EV is optimised for usable, real-world practicality.
INFOTAINMENT & CONNECTIVITY
The MGS6 EV is fully equipped with modern, intuitive infotainment designed to keep drivers connected and in control. The 12.8” high-definition touchscreen offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, ensuring seamless smartphone integration for navigation, media and calls.
Exclusive models elevate connectivity further with in-built apps including YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music and TikTok, supported by an 11-speaker audio system for an enhanced listening experience.
MG’s iSMART app adds remote convenience, allowing owners to pre-heat or cool the cabin, check vehicle status, monitor range and tyre pressures, and locate their parked car all from their smartphone.
SAFETY & DRIVER ASSISTANCE
Safety is central to the MGS6 EV, which has already achieved a 5-Star Euro NCAP rating. High scores were recorded across key assessments, including 92% for adult occupant protection and 84% for vulnerable road users.
Seven airbags are fitted as standard, and every model benefits from MG Pilot a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems. These include Active Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist and four individual lane-support features, along with a driver monitoring system to help maintain focus on the road.
MG Pilot Custom allows drivers to tailor and store their preferred ADAS settings, adding convenience and personalisation. Working with Continental, MG has equipped the MGS6 EV with an advanced integrated braking booster designed specifically for EVs. Large front and rear discs provide confident stopping power, with Excite Long Range and Exclusive Long-Range variants capable of braking from 100 km/h to a standstill in 36 metres.
PERFORMANCE, RANGE & EFFICIENCY
The MGS6 EV range offers strong performance and excellent efficiency across both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants. The 77 kWh battery enables up to 530KM (WLTP) on single-motor models and up to 485KM on the AWD Exclusive Dual Motor*, supported by MG’s lightweight chassis design and aerodynamic engineering.
The AWD Exclusive Dual Motor delivers maximum combined power of 361 PS (266 kW) and 540 Nm of torque, achieving 0–100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds. Rear-wheel drive models provide 244 PS (180 kW) and 350 Nm, reaching 0–100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Top speed for both configurations is limited to 200 km/h.
All models support rapid charging, achieving 10–80% in approximately 38 minutes using public DC chargers. Five energy-recovery modes, including One-Pedal mode, help optimise efficiency in varying driving conditions.
Drivers can choose from five drive modes, Normal, Sport, Comfort, Custom and Snow, while a front MacPherson strut and multi-link rear suspension deliver confident, composed handling. The Excite Long Range and Exclusive Long Range models also offer an 11.1-metre turning circle for enhanced ease in urban environments.
DESIGN & AERODYNAMICS
The all-new MGS6 EV combines distinctive styling with aerodynamic efficiency to enhance both performance and range. More than 900 simulation tests and 5,000 minutes of wind-tunnel analysis have contributed to its ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.27.
Key aerodynamic features include an Active Grille Shutter System, front wheel deflectors and low-resistance aero wheel covers together delivering up to 48KM of additional electric range. Wheel designs include 19” Meteor alloys for the Excite Long Range, and 20” Gulfstream alloys for the Exclusive Long Range and Exclusive Dual Motor.
The MGS6 EV’s body structure prioritises strength and safety, with over 80% constructed from High Strength Steel, supported by Advanced and Ultra High Strength Steel in key areas.
Up front, the split-grille design, Cyberster-inspired lighting and silver-effect MG octagon create a modern, technical look. The profile features privacy glass, silver load-bearing roof rails and a strong shoulder line, while the rear incorporates a roof spoiler, silver accents and a full-width light bar optimised for aerodynamic efficiency.
A wide colour palette is available, including Arctic White, Urban Grey, Cosmic Silver, Dynamic Red and Pearl Black, alongside a new and distinctive Satin Gold finish.
