It was agreed at the Fermoy Municipal District that €28,570 of the overspend from the Abbey Street project will be covered by the Pay Parking Dividend from 2017. 

Pauline Moriarty gave a breakdown of the figures saying €25,000 of the planned funding came from the Town Development Fund while €47,500 came from the department but the overall cost of the project came in at about €115,000.

In order to fund the overspend, Ms Moriarty had an allocation under the Pay Parking Dividend of €28,570.

Another element of the overspend funding is allocated under the town development fund and the remainder will come from the roads department of Cork County Council.
