Mellerick’s Pharmacy in Fermoy have raised €500 for the Fermoy Branch of the MS Society. On Sunday, June 21, staff members and customers took part in the charity climb up the 913-metre mountain.
Speaking to The Avondhu this week, Mike McCarthy from Mellerick’s Pharmacy said the walk was 'a terrific success'. “It was a fantastic day out, a great team-building exercise and I would like to thank all the staff for their efforts. It is a great sign of their characters that they were willing to give up their Sunday for this worthy cause.
“We were delighted to have raised €500 and we would like to thank all our customers who donated so kindly. We would also like to congratulate the Fermoy Branch of the MS Society for organising such a great day out and we would like to wish them continued success with their goal of helping those affected by MS,” he said.
