Adair Primary School have a great record of hosting 'rain free' fêtes and their luck held again last Saturday as the young and less young were able to enjoy fete related activities in the grounds of this famous educational establishment.

In its 35th year, the fête continues to be an important fundraiser for the school and once again it was very well supported.

There was plenty to do and see with old favourites such as pony rides and face painting as popular as ever. Parents, teachers and friends of Adair gave freely of their time to staff the various stalls. The barbecue did a good trade and there was plenty to eat and drink.

The atmosphere was relaxed and it was a chance for everyone to catch up with old friends and take home a few bargains in the process. The raffle was another important source of income - thanks to everyone who subscribed. As things wound down in the afternoon, organizers could take satisfaction from hosting a very well organized event and reflect on a job well done.
