"We are blown away by people's generosity," Jennifer Leahy said this week of the support she and her husband Martin McNamara received for their fundraising family fun day in Conna on Sunday last for Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Dublin.

They raised well over €4,000 and, Jennifer says, money is still coming in. They extend a huge thank you to their family, friends, neighbours, all those who sponsored the event and the wider community who turned out in such large numbers on the day. 

The couple organised the event to raise funds for the hospital as their one-year-old daughter Abbie, who has a serious heart complaint, receives ongoing treatment there.

Two local contestants from The Voice of Ireland competition - Shannon Murphy from Castletownroche and Kelly McDonagh Mongan from Fermoy were special guests at the event, held in the community complex.
