Kildorrery Scouts (22nd Cork) marked a major milestone last weekend, their 10th anniversary, with a series of activities at the Cork Scouts Centre in Burncourt.
Thanks to sound structures and effective leadership, the scout troop in Kildorrery, which includes beavers, cubs and venturers, are going from strength to strength. Over the last decade, the group has grown into a cornerstone of local youth development, giving young people in Kildorrery and surrounding areas the space to build confidence, gain life skills, and form lasting friendships through the outdoors. This was reflected in Burncourt, where the scouts overnighted on Friday and Saturday and enjoyed a range of physical activities.
The fine weather allowed them explore their surroundings, engage further in team building and learn valuable life skills.
