Last September, the O’Donnell family mourned the passing of Gerry O’Donnell from Marshalstown, Mitchelstown, following an accident. Gerry, who was employed in the agricultural contracting business was an exceptionally hard worker and a friend to many.

In Gerry’s memory and keen to help a local voluntary group, his brother, Liam, has already organised a very successful coffee morning in Mitchelstown, which was followed by an equally successful event in Walsh’s Yard Bar, Mitchelstown last Saturday night. That is two thirds of a fundraising project in aid of Mitchelstown First Responders – the final event (Motor Run For Responders) takes place in Glenroe Community Field next Sunday, 30th August, vehicles departing at 1.30pm.

MITCHELSTOWN COMMUNITY FIRST RESPONDERS
