The historic setting of Kingston College in Mitchelstown was the spectacular setting for last Sunday’s picnic and family fun day, held in association with Heritage Week activities.
Participants, many of them in period costume, occupied the lawn that fronts the college.
Here, they engaged in a series of recreational activities that would have been familiar to former residents of the college, namely, lawn tennis and croquet.
