This year's Skeheenarinky Vintage Run saw big crowds make their way to the South Tipperary village to enjoy a great day out, while in the process raising funds for the national school.

The run has been taking place for five years and this year saw people from the village, as well as those from Anglesboro, Cahir and further afield, travelling to enjoy the event.

The field was kindly put up for use by Seamus Fox, while the parents' council in the school provided tea and sandwiches for everyone on the day. Peter Kearney led the tractors on the run and also provided the marquee, while Ed and Karol led the cars on the run. The organisers would like to thank Eamon O'Donovan, Glenaulinn Bacon Ltd, Willie Mulcahy who provided music and refreshments the night of the run, Kay Caplice who captured the day's events in photographs and all those who supported the day through donations, sponsorship or help.

They would also like to thank the stewards for all of their help on the day. More pictures from the event can be seen on www.skeheenarinky.com.

The weather held out for the day, while there was a good number of tractors and vintage cars present. The committee hope to have a final count of the money raised in the coming weeks and they wish to thank everyone who supported the event. They are already looking forward to next year's run, which will again take place in September.
