
Works to the N72 and N73 have received a significant funding boost this week, as Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) announced their grant allocations to local authorities for national roads on Tuesday.
A sum of €2.6 million was announced toward pavement improvement works on the N72, between Kilmagner and LittleGrace. The stretch, which connects Cork county to the Waterford county bounds, has long been the subject of complaints.
According to Cllr Frank O’Flynn, the allocated sum is welcome news for the locality.
