Local lady Anna Clancy took the stage in Tralee on Monday night, walking out in a red gown to cheers from the crowds of supporters at the annual Rose of Tralee Festival.

Representing Perth, Anna hails from the Glanworth and Fermoy area, and now lives in Perth where she works in cardiology. On stage in the Dome, the local lady was interviewed by Daithí O Sé where she opened up about life in Perth, missing home, and the difficult decision she made to move to Australia.

Having studied at UCC, Anna first made the move to Galway, before deciding to move ‘Down Under’, as she has always loved travelling and being in the healthcare industry, Australia seemed like a good option.

“While I’m a junior doctor, it seemed like a great time to go over there, get experience in the healthcare system there, try all the different areas before I decide which area I want to go into,” Anna said.
