With many individuals and families electing to get away for the bank holiday weekend, those associated with Ballyduff Ladies Football Club took to the playing fields instead for a day of fun games.

The event also entailed a medals presentation (U13/U16), an address by Paddy Jim Feeney, some photographs, the distribution of ice cream and the serving of refreshments in the Millennium Hall. The blitz took place in the local community field on bank holiday Monday, where there was a fine crowd in attendance. The weather was ideal and all ages got some on-field action.

As with a lot of these occasions, club volunteer, Fiona Kenny did a lot of preparatory work. She was assisted by a group of close friends and colleagues. Club chairman, Seamus Daly, was also in attendance to offer his support and guidance. Promising young referee, Nora Ahern, also got a chance to road test her yellow and red cards – thankfully, no red cards were required.
