
Unsolicited Additional Information provided by the developer of the former Presentation Convent in Mitchelstown to Cork County Council earlier this month, ‘is not yet sufficient’ to enable the Planning Authority to make a decision on its most recent planning application, with ‘concern’ for the historic fabric of the site.
Rockspring Properties propose to change some of the plans for the 32 residences being developed at the historic site, where planning was sought earlier this year, proposing to include 6 additional residential units along with modification to 16 of the residential units.
Committing to reconstruction and repair of the historic building in compliance of ‘the commitments of all reports in the circumstances presented to us’, the developer also state that it is committed to continued liaison with conservation architects in progressing the project, both the council’s and its own.
