Prominent member of Mitchelstown Musical Society, Pat Lambe, has been selected as the grand marshal for the upcoming St Patrick’s Day parade in the town.

Born and reared on Robert Street in Mitchelstown, Mr Lambe, who now resides on Clonmel Road, is a well known face with Mitchelstown Musical Society, where he has been a member for 14 years.

Speaking with The Avondhu this week, he said it’s a ‘big honour’ to be selected as grand marshal for his hometown parade.

“It’s a great honour to be asked to be the grand marshal of the Mitchelstown St Patrick’s Day parade. I’ll be leading the parade after Mass and hopefully the Musical Society will be behind me,” he said.
