Killavullen storm victims seek accommodation

Killavullen local, Angela Ducey, said that the situation has worsened at her home in Killavullen, after a tree fell onto her house during Storm Eowyn late last week.

At around 12.30am, a tree measuring about 60ft in length came crashing through an upstairs bedroom and onto their landing, causing significant damage to their dwelling.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork’s RedFM following the incident, Ms Ducey said that they had been sleeping downstairs at the time as her daughter uses a stairlift and they had been concerned about power outages during the storm.
