The GOAL Mile is taking place throughout the Christmas season in several locations across The Avondhu region, including Doneraile Park, St Catherines GAA grounds in Ballynoe, as well as at Glanmire Community College.

On Christmas Day, the GOAL Mile will see people walk or run the mile in Doneraile Park at 10am, and in St Catherines GAA grounds from 10.30am. In Glanmire, the event will take place at 10.15am at the local Community College.

The annual GOAL Mile is 42 years old this year and since 1977, has raised €9.2 million for some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities across the world. This year there are runs at 175 locations all across Ireland, with 113 of these taking part on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day.
