A draft budgetary plan for the Fermoy Municipal District of over €11.5 million has been unanimously agreed by elected members for 2025.
Tuesday of this week saw a meeting of the Fermoy Municipal District at which the division of the €11,711,407 budget was agreed upon. While the draft budget was welcomed by councillors, several also spoke of the demand for increased street cleaning measures, and in particular, the need for a street sweeper for Mitchelstown.
Funding of €9,447,432 was allocated to roads transport and safety, with the largest figure under this (€7,174,765) allocated towards local road maintenance and improvements.
