Cork senior hurling coach, Pat Ryan, was in Fermoy last Saturday to support a walk in aid of Pat ‘Bosco’ Roche.

The walkathon was the latest in a series of very well attended fundraisers for Bosco, who is battling Motor Neurone Disease.
Addressing the large crowd, Pat, who guided Cork to this year’s All-Ireland hurling final, said it was testimony to Bosco’s exemplary character that so many people were getting behind the various fundraisers.

“Pat is a great Fermoy man who has given so much to his community over the years. I know he is also a great Cork supporter and unfortunately, we came up just short this year. Pat is going through his own challenges at the moment, but he should be reassured that his family, neighbours and wide circle of friends are standing by him at this difficult time”.
