Local couple Marie Barry from Conna and Andrew Cotter from Mitchelstown are just back from the trip of a lifetime having climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. 

The couple only started doing hillwalking and small mountain climbs in the recent past, enjoying a hike up the Galtees together most weekends as well as excursions up Mount Brandon and more recently, Carrauntoohil. 

Both avid travellers and thrill seekers, they decided to take a big leap and book their trip to the highest free standing mountain in the world.
