The nature of hospital care means it’s 24/7 and Christmas Day is no different. Thanks to the commitment of dedicated staff, patients of St Patrick’s Community Hospital, Fermoy benefit from outstanding levels of attention and it was no different on Christmas Day with staff giving up family time to look after the old and infirm. 

Thanks to the generosity of Fermoy Medical Hall, patients received a free gift on Christmas morning. This gesture was much appreicated by all and wholeheartedly acknowledged by Fermoy hospital fundraising activist, Tadhg O’Donovan.

“This was a wonderful gesture of and in keeping with the true spirit of Christmas. I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank, Brian Whelan and the management of Fermoy Medical Hall for their kindness and goodwill,” said Tadhg.

BARRY’S BARY RAISE €500 FOR HOSPITAL

There was more good news for Fermoy Hospital this week with the handover of a cheque for €500. The money was raised by customers of Barry’s Bar in Rathcormac who subscribed to a Christmas draw.

Long time supporter of Fermoy Hospital Tom Barry, was present on Monday afternoon to accept the donation from the bar’s manager, Liam Mannix and his mother, Bridie.

Tom said it was a great amount to raise in a short time and he thanked Liam and all his big hearted customers for being so good to the hospital.
